Especially if you've been shredding irl. It captures the same physics and feeling as if you were in the slope yourself. Once you've learned the controls, every trick you land is super rewarding. Just like in real life.It's a little glitchy here and there, and it's not very much content at the moment. But that's understandable since it's only a single(!!) guy who has been developing this by himself. Please fix your challenges, the traversal challenge is an aboslute nightmare making you find ways around the broken physics system, there is no way to steer your character sharp enough to even think about grabbing all of the traversal objectives making you replay the same level multiple times just because you missed one checkpoint. Locking all of the other mountains behind "story missions" which are mostly chance if you get the objective or not. I will follow the development of this game, but right now only buy if you 1) are a big fan on snowboarding 2) Need to scratch that snowboarding itch SNOW left on you. I understand one man is working on this game and I really hope the project continues it has a lot of potential.. This book CAN be judged by its cover. The *snowboarding* here is a beautifully made virtual take on the real experience. If you're into that sort of thing, buy it! I am, I did, no regrets.BUT. I'll make an edit here, three weeks later. Disregard my rambling below. I leave it up for clarity\/transparency but none of this matters, really. This game has the best and truest snowboarding you can experience at home.I think this gem also shoots itself in the foot by being too much of a game and too little of a toy. In order to progress, to unlock new mountains, you have to... I don't know what. Gather XP, win challenges? It doesn't tell me. All I know is that those very specific challenges - do a race in under a certain time, do a Melon that scores 400 points, do this'n that, busywork, try again - are in stark, annoying contrast to what seems to and easily could be the core of "The Snowboard Game". STILL.It's good. Get it.
